10 Claude Skills That Quietly Replace Half Your Marketing Stack
Skills are tiny. The leverage isn't. Ten skills I keep loaded — and what each one stops me from paying a SaaS subscription for.
A Claude skill is a thin YAML wrapper that turns one of Claude's general capabilities into a specialist for a workflow you actually do. Skills are free, installed in seconds, and stack — you can have dozens loaded without slowdown.
These are the ten I've ended up using weekly. For each, I've noted the SaaS tool or hand-process it replaces in my own setup.
1. humanizer
Detects AI tells in any draft and rewrites in a chosen voice. Replaces my old habit of paying for Grammarly Premium plus a freelance copy editor.
2. brand-guidelines
Drops your color palette, typography, voice rules into any artifact — slide deck, doc, landing page. Replaces three Google Docs full of inconsistent guidelines.
3. marketing:campaign-plan
Full campaign brief with audience, channels, content calendar, success metrics. Replaces the 90-minute kickoff meeting where everyone says "we should make a doc."
4. marketing:competitive-brief
Generates positioning and messaging gap analysis from a competitor list. Replaces a $99/month battlecard tool.
5. marketing:seo-audit
Comprehensive SEO health check with prioritized action plan. Replaces my old habit of doing this in spreadsheets twice a year.
6. marketing:performance-report
Builds a marketing performance report from raw metrics. Replaces a junior analyst's first three hours of every Monday.
7. marketing:brand-review
Flags voice and style deviations in any draft, with before/after fixes. Replaces a senior content lead approving every blog post.
8. design:design-critique
Structured feedback on usability and hierarchy from a Figma link or screenshot. Replaces a $200/hr UX consultant for first-pass reviews.
9. design:ux-copy
Microcopy, error messages, empty states, CTAs. Replaces the conversation where everyone names the button differently.
10. apollo:prospect (or your CRM equivalent)
Plain English ICP → enriched lead list. Replaces an hour of LinkedIn scraping per prospect search.
The honest part
Not every skill saves enough time to matter. The ten above are the ones that earned a permanent slot for me — your stack will look different. The way to find your ten is to install fifteen, ignore the noise, and let the keepers reveal themselves over two weeks of real work.
